"I came to meet Ms. Campbell in my fifth year of high school after struggling with math for my first four years. Almost imemdiately, I saw the difference in comprehending the various mathematical concepts with the techniques being taught. Quickly, these alternate methods being taught, alongside the additional practice being given, were reflected in my grades. In fact, the grades I got in the academic year I was working with Ms. Campbell were, on average, better than the grades I got in my first four years of high school. It culminated with me receiving a distinction in my final mathematics exam. Not only has Ms. Campbell been a great academic tutor, but she has also proven to be helpful in other aspects of my life, including encouraging me to be optimistic and positive."

"For as long as I can remember, I have struggled with mathematics. From as early as I was 10 years old, I remember getting extreme anxiety when it came to math tests and math exams. As I matriculated into high school, my anxiety got worse, especially when I entered grade 11. My parents recognized my struggle with the subject and started looking for classes to help me get back on track with the subject. My past principal, Mrs. Barbara Kerr-Thompson, recommended Ms. Yasmine Campbell, a math extras teacher who has helped a couple of past students of hers. After that recommendation, I started to attend her classes every Saturday. These classes helped me tremendously, and I was starting to understand everything I was being taught. That was until Ms Campbell had to leave to go abroad. We started doing online classes, and those also helped. After a few months of doing these classes, it was time to do the exam. I went in and did my best, but I wasn’t confident in my work. I worried about it for the entirety of my summer break. When results day came, I was super nervous because I wasn’t sure if I got a good grade or not. When I decided to open the portal and check my grades, I was elated. I scored an II on my math exam!! I really could not have done it without the help of Ms Campbell. She really did an amazing job in helping me to achieve my goal and get over my fear of math, and for that, I really want to say thank you to her for believing in me."
